Safety Light Curtains with Bluetooth® Interface

SLC440-E SAFETY LIGHT CURTAINS WITH BLUETOOTH® INTERFACE

A simple and quick alignment of the Safety Light Curtains from Schmersal was demonstrated by utilizing the new Bluetooth® feature and the free safety light curtain app.  In combination with the SCHMERSAL App “SLC Assist” the operator uses this diagnosis tool for a safe operation, set-up and documentation of a SCHMERSAL AOPD only by using a smartphone or tablet. The actual AOPD data are shown in real time without special tools. The app tracks operational hours and the number of switching cycles the SLC has performed. This information helped them schedule preventative maintenance and define intervals for intermediate checks of the machinery.  In addition, information on the active status of the light curtain can be saved to phone or tablet then emailed from the app to store it in their document server.
