Precise Edge Detection with an Array Sensor

An array sensor from SICK detects even the slightest differences in gray-scale values
within the field-of-view. Positioning of a paper web based on the web edge
or a contrast line is only one of many possible applications. Widths, diameters, and gaps
can also be detected. In reflector mode, it can even detect transparent materials. SICK’s
solution is ideal for positioning print marks, controlling web edges, or monitoring
unchanging diameters.
