Jayson Pestow is a Functional Safety Engineer in Machinery Safety (TÜV Rheinland, #9059/14) and has been focused on industrial automation and safety his entire career. During this time, he has worked for end users, integrators and manufacturers of machine/automation safety components and systems. Jayson has experience working with both equipment suppliers and end users in diverse global applications. As the Business Consultant for Industrial Robotics and Mobile Platform Safety for the SICK organization, Jayson is responsible for the development of new safety solutions for complex applications and consulting on the applicability of safety standards. Jayson has been an active member of standard subcommittees for machinery safety as well, including B11 and SPI B151 standards. In 2015 he was selected as one of the Engineering Leaders Under 40 by Control Engineering Magazine.

During this time, he has served the RIA as chairman of the new markets committee and served the educational community as the chairman of the Fox Valley Technical College International Business Advisory Committee. Ben is a noted speaker on technology and its effect on human interaction. His most recent projects are “establishing the essential tasks in the acquisition process to ensure successful implementation of flexible manufacturing” and “breaking down the barriers for small and midsize to use advanced robotic technology.” He currently holds the position of Robot Solutions Manager at Mitsubishi Electric Automation.
